Bellamy Genn Adds Jordan-Mary Bellamy as Director of Strategic Communications and Government Relations Associate

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Today, the Bellamy Genn Group (BGG) proudly announces that Jordan-Mary “Jordan” Bellamy has joined the firm as our Director of Strategic Communications and Government Relations Associate. One of our firm’s core values is to provide innovative solutions — critical to expressing this value is having an integrative approach towards our work and attracting and developing talent. Jordan will spearhead our new public affairs division to assist clients in their communications strategy to better support our legislative advocacy on their behalf. BGG will now be a one-stop shop for government relations, public affairs, and political strategy.

Jordan brings an integrative vision, energy, and instincts that will strengthen the Bellamy Genn Group’s toolkit to develop and deploy even more strategic and winning tactics for our clients — we are very excited to have her on our team,” said Lorenzo Bellamy, Managing Partner of the Bellamy Genn Group. “With the addition of a concerted effort on providing public affairs services coupled with our government relations services, our firm is better positioned to provide clients the best opportunities to advance their issues.

We are excited that Jordan is joining the BGG team — her experience of the legislative landscape, political communications, and relationships with key stakeholders will amplify the firm’s ability to advocate on behalf of all our clients successfully,” said Gil Genn, Partner of the Bellamy Genn Group. “We are confident that Jordan will help us explore new opportunities for our clients by expanding our services and strengthening our current government relations services.

Jordan has worked on political, legislative, and public awareness campaigns. Most recently, she oversaw communications efforts for the northeast region (from Maine to Kentucky), Florida, and Tennessee for Mike Bloomberg’s Everytown for Gun Safety and its grassroots arms, Moms Demand Action, and Students Demand Action. In addition to running successful communication strategies for various campaigns and coordinating rapid response efforts across the U.S., in Maryland, she supported the state chapter of Moms Demand Action in their efforts to advocate for the passage of  SB1/HB824, — the “Gun Safety Act of 2023” and SB858/HB307 — Jaelynn’s Law. Jordan also served as the press secretary for former Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot’s gubernatorial campaign and was a policy advisor for a candidate running for D.C. City Council At-large. She also has policy expertise in various areas — including gun safety, housing and community development, environment, and technology.
